The Ryde-Gladesville Climate ChangeAction Group

A politically unaffiliated group of concerned residents who wish to see immediate & decisive action on the most important issue of our time. We will:

  • Make government leaders aware of the strong desire for decisive action in the community - our position
  • Inform community members about actions they can take
  • undertake local community-based projects to address climate change

Our group now has approximately 450 supporters as well as a core group of eight. These supporters are local residents who have signed on through our website, after speaking to us at schools and local events, or after participating in our activities.

Having a Ball with Earth

THE Earth whizzed through Gladesville on Friday on its light-speed mission to remind earthlings how precious this planet is and why they should protect and preserve it.

The huge inflatable Earth is being relayed by environmental groups across Australia to rendezvous with a bigger house-sized Earth, the Climate Action Station, on the lawns of parliament House. On Friday it was the turn of Ryde Hunters Hills Flora and Fauna Preservation Society and the Ryde Gladesville Climate Change Action Group. After an hour at the Field of Mars in Gladesville it hurtled off to Hornsby and Newcastle.
