Protesters made their presence felt when Bennelong by-election candidates arrived at a business forum at Ryde.
The protesters surrounded the Royal Hotel entrances last night for their rally against the Adani coal mine in central Queensland.
They were particularly keen to greet the Labor and Liberal candidates.
