The Albanese Government has released a future gas strategy, proposing gas to be part of the transition to net zero emissions and this being reason for new gas fields. This thinking is now 5 years out of date in light of the capacity of renewables to power all our needs.

North Epping Community Battery Launched
On a cold and rainy afternoon, the community battery next to North Epping oval was officially opened on 18 May at North Epping Oval. It was great to see Jerome, who was instrumental in getting a battery for this area as well as Chris Bowen, Minister for Climate change and Energy there. Such star power in our locale is a reminder of how important Bennelong is to the government and what an opportunity we have to remind the government how short of net zero we still are.
