Regret proof the future
Thanks to all of you who contacted us offering to letterbox our flyer asking people to vote for the climate on 8 September. We have now distributed almost 8,000. A mighty effort. Only 42,000 to go to cover the whole electorate. If you have a couple of hours and want to regret-proof yourself into the election please call Jo this week on 0414375149 or email us and we can deliver a bundle of flyers and map for an area near you. Our home page has the flyer content plus sources.

Going Fossil Free
Going Fossil Free is the campaign launched by 350.org 2 months ago in Aus to encourage individuals and institutions to divest of investments in coal and other fossil fuels. Since, then seven religious organisations have passed resolutions to divest, negotiations are under way with 4 city councils as well as 12 universities and thousands of people have told their banks they will walk if they don’t stop funding destructive fossil fuel projects.
The World Bank and the European Investment Bank – have now also committed to restrict their funding to coal. See Go Fossil Free Australia
