Greetings and welcome to our third newsletter.

We will continue to keep the newsletters short and to enable you to look for more information where you wish. Feedback is very welcome!

In this newsletter:

At the heart of a climate change action group are supporters. With a strong weight of numbers we represent the voice of many people in the Ryde-Gladesville area, and combined with other climate action groups, the voice of people across Sydney and Australia. Help us sign up more supporters and you could win a copy of Al Gore’s ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ DVD.

Still not quite sold our impact on climate change? For any sceptics open to persuasion  have a look at our broad overview of the rationale behind why humanity needs to take action to reduce climate change.

Ryde Council recently issued a draft Greenhouse Emissions Reduction Plan to which the Ryde Gladesville Climate Change Action Group made a submission. To learn more about it – including some councillors responses to the questions we put to them, have a look at this Ryde Council update.

The Australian Conservation Foundation has an ACF climate change workshop  coming up soon for those who wish to be more active on climate change.

And lastly – want to take some actions yourself? Here’s some links to sites that have lots of ideas.
